Imagery is taking an object from the text that is of
minimal importance and visualizing and sketching it into greater detail (Sean’s
Roller Blades as an example). Thus, you recall the vivid image and trigger the
text and story. It is related to visualization but the two are different.
Visualization often involves creating “movies” of places and things that are not
mentioned and are solely part of the reader’s imagination. Imagery is taking an
item that is mentioned directly and adding detail to it.

ReplyDeleteWatches and Science projects seem to be the class favorites, along with a few lockers. The importamt part is that when you look at your image the knowledge and understanding of the chapter are triggered.
