We All Fall Down

Hello Team,

9/11 "We All Fall Down"

The prior knowledge:

The September 11 attacks (also referred to as September 11, September 11th or 9/11) were a series of four coordinated suicide attacks upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. areas on September 11, 2001. On that Tuesday morning, 19 terrorists from the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger jets. The hijackers intentionally crashed two planes, American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City; both towers collapsed within two hours. Hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth jet, United Airlines Flight 93, crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to take control before it could reach the hijacker's intended target in Washington, D.C. Nearly 3,000 died in the attacks.

  1. i found these things interesting
The original World Trade Center was a complex with seven buildings featuring landmark twin towers in Lower Manhattan, New York City, United States. The complex opened on April 4, 1973, and was destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks. The site is being rebuilt with five new skyscrapers and a memorial to the casualties of the attacks. As of November 2011, only one skyscraper has been completed, with four more expected to be completed before 2020. One World Trade Center will be the lead building for the new complex and is expected to be finished by 2013. A sixth tower is still awaiting confirmation to be built. At the time of their completion, the original 1 and 2 World Trade Center, known colloquially as the Twin Towers, were the tallest buildings in the world.

  2. FBI: Paying Cash for Coffee Potential Terrorism?

FBI says paying for your morning coffee with cash a potential terrorist activity, urges coffee shop owners to report cash-paying customers to authorities

    February 08, 2012
by Ethan A. Huff, staff writer
    NaturalNews.com

Purchasing a cup of coffee using cash instead of a credit or debit card, using Google Maps to view photos of sporting event stadiums and large cities, and installing software to protect your internet privacy on your mobile phone -- these and many other mundane activities are now considered to be potential terrorist activities by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). And the agency is now distributing a new series of flyers as part of its new "Communities Against Terrorism" (CAT) program that urges shop owners and others to report such "suspicious" activity to authorities.

"The Communities Against Terrorism program is funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance through the SLATT Program to provide law enforcement agencies with a tool to engage members of the local community in the fight against terrorism," writes SLATT.org, the program of the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance that is promoting the program, on its website. "To assist law enforcement in the outreach effort, templates of flyers containing potential indicators have been created for distribution to specific industries" (https://www.slatt.org/CAT).
i find this very weird like what mr . cheney said there is way more security in the airports but now i find it weird for them going this far.

  3. i found this it says that the world trade buildint wasn't hit by a plane or anything was 1 block away from the twin towers.but the building collaspe at 5:20 the evening the twin towers fell.this building fell like it was scheduled for demolistion.

The collapse of WTC Building 7 shows five characteristics of a controlled demolition:

    It “dropped directly into its own footprint in a smooth, vertical motion”;

    It “collapsed completely in less than seven seconds”;

    “Dust streamed out of the upper floors of Building 7 early in its collapse”;

“WTC 7’s roof inverted toward its middle as the collapse progressed”; and

“WTC 7’s rubble was mostly confined to the block on which the building stood.”13

when nasa flew a plane over WTC site it recorded 1,341F(im not sure how many celsius that is)that temperature indicate the use of high explosives.

  6. the multiple scenes of the plane hitting the south tower was very shocking, and it happened so fast.

what really surprised me was that the news reporters didnt act very shocked, and were a bit calm about what happened.

in the first video, at 6:30, thats the part to me, was the most powerful because it was so close up, and also the most quick.
i didnt hear a noise after the plane crashed.
i thought i would hear a load noise.

The September 11 attacks (also referred to as September 11, September 11th or 9/11[nb 1]) were a series of four coordinated suicide attacks upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. areas on September 11, 2001.

Suspicion quickly fell on al-Qaeda, and in 2004, the group's leader Osama bin Laden, who had initially denied involvement, claimed responsibility for the attacks.[1] Al-Qaeda and bin Laden cited U.S. support of Israel, the presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, and sanctions against Iraq as motives for the attacks. The United States responded to the attacks by launching the War on Terror and invading Afghanistan to depose the Taliban, which had harbored al-Qaeda. Many countries strengthened their anti-terrorism legislation and expanded law enforcement powers. In May 2011, after years at large, bin Laden was found and killed.

The destruction of the twin towers caused serious damage to the economy of Lower Manhattan and had a significant impact on global markets. Cleanup of the World Trade Center site was completed in May 2002, and the Pentagon was repaired within a year. Numerous memorials were constructed, including the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York, the Pentagon Memorial, and the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania. Adjacent to the National Memorial, the 1,776 feet (541 m) One World Trade Center is expected to be completed in 2013.[2]

    i found this on Wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks

here are some very powerful pictures of 9/11:
    http://news.yahoo.com/photos/9-11-the-25-most-powerful-photos-1315611364-slideshow/

the 5th and 8th picture is the most powerful to me because on the 5th, it shows a man falling down from the building, and the 8th one is where the plane is just about to hit the south tower.

i didnt know that 9/11 wasnt only in new york.
other planes were intended to also hit Washington D.C
i didnt know that Al-Qaeda was a whole group of terrorists involved in the tragedy. i though that Al-Qaeda was another person helping osama at first.

  9. Terrorism
Devastating acts, such as the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, have left many concerned about the possibility of future incidents in the United States and their potential impact. They have raised uncertainty about what might happen next, increasing stress levels. Nevertheless, there are things you can do to prepare for the unexpected and reduce the stress that you may feel now and later should another emergency arise. Taking preparatory action can reassure you and your children that you can exert a measure of control even in the face of such events.

The site shows way to face event but at the same time in such event no one thinks of those stuff.People dont even know whats going on or as Mr.Cheney said they dont even have their final thoughts.

When terrorism is talked about, people often accuse Muslims.Just because a few Muslims were caught doing teetotalism it doesn't mean all the rest of us are.As a Muslim,I wasn't taught to hate but to love.I wasn't taught to offence innocent people but to care. Those people who are terrorist could be of any race.Women who wear Burka's are judged because of their clothing? What happened to all those people who talk about not judging others on the outside but the inside.(personalities)In Wiki they have a topic on Ismalmic Terrorism and by relating it that were meant to do such acts is beyond me.Or including the Quran and taking out the wrong meaning........

  12. i found some info on binladen and the twin towers

Bin Laden, who orchestrated the attacks, initially denied but later admitted involvement.[1][91][92] Al Jazeera broadcast a statement by bin Laden on September 16, 2001, stating, "I stress that I have not carried out this act, which appears to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation."[93] In November 2001, U.S. forces recovered a videotape from a destroyed house in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. In the tape, bin Laden is seen talking to Khaled al-Harbi and admits foreknowledge of the attacks.[94] On December 27, 2001, a second bin Laden video was released. In the video, he states, "Terrorism against America deserves to be praised because it was a response to injustice, aimed at forcing America to stop its support for Israel, which kills our people", but he stopped short of admitting responsibility for the attacks.[95]
Shortly before the U.S. presidential election in 2004, in a taped statement, bin Laden publicly acknowledged al-Qaeda's involvement in the attacks on the U.S. and admitted his direct link to the attacks. He said that the attacks were carried out because, "we are free ... and want to regain freedom for our nation. As you undermine our security we undermine yours."[96] Bin Laden said he had personally directed his followers to attack the World Trade Center.[92][97] Another video obtained by Al Jazeera in September 2006 shows bin Laden with Ramzi bin al-Shibh, as well as two hijackers, Hamza al-Ghamdi and Wail al-Shehri, as they make preparations for the attacks.[98] The U.S. never formally indicted bin Laden for the 9/11 attacks but he was on the FBI's Most Wanted List for the bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya.[99][100] After a nearly 10-year manhunt, bin Laden was killed by American forces in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 1, 2011.[101][102]

Summary~ Four planes were highjacked on September 11,2001 by Al Qaeda. The hijackers intentionally crashed two planes.

I found this on yahoo answers it states why the twin towers were purposely destroyed~ Because Radical Islam hates the U.S. and any other free nation. They fear that an elected government will result in change that they cannot control. They fear that they will be destroyed as a force in the region. As a result, they tried to destroy the U.S. economy, in hopes that we would not be able or willing to stop the threat of radical, militant Islam in the world. The attack on 9/11 was little more than hate for our way of life. They are intent on taking over the world. They want to destroy all who will not convert to radical Islam.

The complex was designed in the early 1960s by Minoru Yamasaki and Associates of Troy, Michigan, and Emery Roth and Sons of New York.[2] The twin 110-story towers used a tube-frame structural design. To gain approval for the project, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey agreed to take over the Hudson & Manhattan Railroad, which became the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH). Groundbreaking for the World Trade Center took place on August 5, 1966. The North Tower (1) was completed in December 1972 and the South Tower (2) was finished in July 1973. The construction project involved excavating a large amount of material, which was later used as landfill to build Battery Park City on the west side of Lower Manhattan. The cost for the construction was $400 million ($2,200,000,000 in 2012 dollars).[3] The complex was located in the heart of New York City's downtown financial district and contained 13.4 million square feet (1.24 million m2) of office space.[4][5] The Windows on the World restaurant was located on the 106th and 107th floors of 1 World Trade Center (the North Tower) while the Top of the World observation deck was located on the 107th floor of 2 World Trade Center (the South Tower). Other World Trade Center buildings included the Marriott World Trade Center; 4 World Trade Center; 5 World Trade Center; 6 World Trade Center, which housed the United States Customs. All of these buildings were built between 1975 and 1981. The final building constructed was 7 World Trade Center, which was built in 1985. The second King Kong was filmed in 1976 with some scenes mentioning and showing the World Trade Center. The World Trade Center experienced a fire on February 13, 1975, and a bombing on February 26, 1993. In 1998, the Port Authority decided to privatize the World Trade Center, leasing the buildings to a private company to manage, and awarded the lease to Silverstein Properties in July 2001.
On the morning of September 11, 2001, Al-Qaeda-affiliated hijackers flew two 767 jets into the complex, one into each tower, in a coordinated terrorist attack. After burning for 56 minutes, the South Tower (2) collapsed, followed a half-hour later by the North Tower (1), with the attacks on the World Trade Center resulting in 2,753 deaths.[6] 7 World Trade Center collapsed later in the day and the other buildings, although they did not collapse, had to be demolished because they were damaged beyond repair. The process of cleanup and recovery at the World Trade Center site took eight months. The first new building at the site was 7 World Trade Center, which opened in May 2006. The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC), established in November 2001 to oversee the rebuilding process, organized competitions to select a site plan and memorial design. Memory Foundations, designed by Daniel Libeskind, was selected as the master plan, but this went through substantial changes in design. The new World Trade Center complex will include One World Trade Center, three other high-rise office towers, and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

  28. Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden:

was the founder of the militant Islamist organization Al-Qaeda, the jihadist organization responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States and numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets. He was a member of the wealthy Saudi bin Laden family, and an ethnic Yemeni Kindite.

Bin Laden was on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings. From 2001 to 2011, bin Laden was a major target of the War on Terror, with a US$25 million bounty by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
After being placed on the FBI's Most Wanted list, bin Laden remained in hiding during three U.S. presidential administrations. On May 2, 2011, bin Laden was shot and killed inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by U.S. Navy SEALs and CIA operatives in a covert operation ordered by United States President Barack Obama. Shortly after his death, bin Laden's body was buried at sea. Al-Qaeda acknowledged his death on May 6, 2011, vowing to retaliate.

  30. 9/11 conspiracy theories are theories that disagree with the widely accepted account that the September 11 attacks were perpetrated solely by al-Qaeda,[1] without any detailed advanced knowledge on the part of any government agency.[2] Proponents of these theories claim there were inconsistencies in the official conclusions or evidence that was overlooked.[3] In a 2008 global poll of 17 countries, 46% of those surveyed believed al-Qaeda was responsible for the attacks, 15% believed the U.S. government was responsible, 7% believed Israel was and another 7% believed some other perpetrator, other than al Qaeda, was responsible. The poll found that respondents in the Middle East were especially likely to name a perpetrator other than al-Qaeda.[4] People who believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories are also more likely to believe other conspiracy theories such as competing theories about the death of Osama bin Laden, with some believing he is still alive.[5]
The most prominent conspiracy theory is that the collapse of the World Trade Center and 7 World Trade Center were the result of a controlled demolition rather than structural failure due to fire.[6][7] Another prominent belief is that the Pentagon was hit by a missile launched by elements from inside the U.S. government[8][9] or that a commercial airliner was allowed to do so via an effective standdown of the American military.[10][11] Motives cited by conspiracy theorists include justifying the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, and geostrategic interests in the Mideast, including pipeline plans launched in the early 1990s by Unocal and other oil companies.[12] Other conspiracy theories revolve around authorities having advance knowledge of the attacks and deliberately ignoring or helping to assist the attackers. [3][13][14]
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and media outlets such as Popular Mechanics have investigated and rejected these claims.[15][16] The civil engineering community accepts that the impacts of jet aircraft at high speeds in combination with subsequent fires, rather than controlled demolition, led to the collapse of the Twin Towers.[

  32. Interesting fact from Wikipedia:

In a 2008 global poll of 17 countries, 46% of those surveyed believed al-Qaeda was responsible for the attacks, 15% believed the U.S. government was responsible, 7% believed Israel was and another 7% believed some other perpetrator, other than al Qaeda, was responsible. The poll found that respondents in the Middle East were especially likely to name a perpetrator other than al-Qaeda.

On september 11th, 2001, exactly starting at 8:46am, a series of terrorist (suicide) attacks occurred by a Terrorist organization called al-Qaeda. Four planes have crashed that morning. One crashed in the Pentagon in Virginia, and the other one crashed in Pennsylvania. The first two planes hit the Twin Towers in New York. At 8:46am, five hijackers in Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center's north tower. At 9:03am, five hijackers in Flight 175 crashed into the south tower. The aftermath of all the terror attacks are almost 3,000 civilians dead. The leader of al-Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden, denied responsibility of the 9/11 attacks, but later in 2004 claims he is responsible. Later on, when George Bush came in to power, the United States responded to the 9/11 attacks, by invading Afghanistan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Starting "The War on Terror" had a purpose to eliminate terrorists, also 'revenge' from the United States.

  34. The September 11 attacks (also referred to as September 11, September 11th or 9/11[nb 1]) were a series of four coordinated suicide attacks upon the United States in New York City and the Washington, D.C. areas on September 11, 2001.

In May 2011, after years at large, bin Laden was found and killed
    (wikipedia.com/ 911

@8:46am the so called "terrorists" crashed American Airlines 11 into the world trade centre's north tower, then at 9:03 the south tower was attacked. Not only the world trade centre but the pentagon as well at 9:37. There is alot of conspiracy on whether the government did it or not. They must have covered it up then it hasn't been proven that the government did it 100% nor has it been proven that Al Qaeda did it.

  37. I heard that the military had sent out fighter jets to get control of the planes that were high jacked during that time. When the fighter jet had got in the ski, they were told to get to the plane and secure it. But the direction told was the wrong way! They ended up not getting to the plane which made the other twin tower to be in danger. When all of this was over, the fighter jet made it too late.

  40. The origins of Al-Qaeda
The origins of al-Qaeda can be traced to 1979 when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan. Soon after, Osama bin Laden traveled to Afghanistan and helped organize Arab mujahideen to resist the Soviets. Under the guidance of Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden became more radical.
In 1996 bin Laden issued his first fatwā, calling for American soldiers to leave Saudi Arabia.
In a second fatwā in 1998, bin Laden outlined his objections to American foreign policy with respect to Israel, as well as the continued presence of American troops in Saudi Arabia after the Gulf War. Bin Laden used Islamic texts to exhort Muslims to attack Americans until the stated grievances are reversed, and according to bin Laden, Muslim legal scholars, "have throughout Islamic history unanimously agreed that the jihad is an individual duty if the enemy destroys the Muslim countries."
    Information on Osama Bin laden
Bin Laden, who orchestrated the attacks, initially denied but later admitted involvement. Al Jazeera broadcast a statement by bin Laden on September 16, 2001, stating, "I stress that I have not carried out this act, which appears to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation." In November 2001, U.S. forces recovered a videotape from a destroyed house in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. In the tape, bin Laden is seen talking to Khaled al-Harbi and admits foreknowledge of the attacks. On December 27, 2001, a second bin Laden video was released. In the video, he states, "Terrorism against America deserves to be praised because it was a response to injustice, aimed at forcing America to stop its support for Israel, which kills our people", but he stopped short of admitting responsibility for the attacks.
As you undermine our security we undermine yours." Bin Laden said he had personally directed his followers to attack the World Trade Center. Another video obtained by Al Jazeera in September 2006 shows bin Laden with Ramzi bin al-Shibh, as well as two hijackers, Hamza al-Ghamdi and Wail al-Shehri, as they make preparations for the attacks. The U.S. never formally indicted bin Laden for the 9/11 attacks but he was on the FBI's Most Wanted List for the bombings of the U.S. Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. After a nearly 10-year manhunt, bin Laden was killed by American forces in Abbottabad, Pakistan on May 1, 2011.

    The Casualties
The attacks resulted in the death of 2,996 people, including the 19 hijackers and 2,977 victims. The victims included 246 on the four planes (from which there were no survivors), 2,606 in New York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon. Nearly all of the victims were civilians; 55 military personnel were among those killed at the Pentagon.
More than 90% of the workers and visitors who died in the towers had been at or above the points of impact. In the North Tower 1,355 people at or above the point of impact were trapped and died of smoke inhalation, fell or jumped from the tower to escape the smoke and flames, or were killed in the building's eventual collapse. A further 107 people below the point of impact did not survive. In the South Tower one stairwell remained intact, allowing 18 people to escape from above the point of impact. In the South Tower 630 people died, fewer than half the number killed in the North Tower. Casualties in the South Tower were significantly reduced by the decision of some occupants to start evacuating when the North Tower was struck.

  43. I found this topic very interesting and it became more interesting when in 2008 i visited the location. Now there wasn't anything cool about the twin towers after the attack because nothing of it was left except for a burnt ground but just seeing at how busy that place was how so many people were always in a rush.Just thinking about that the day the towers were attacked how many people OUTSIDE of the building died? When the bombs were set the flames were strong if we go to science not many people around would have survived because of the strength of the flames when the building tumbled down those bricks, stones, cement who and where did it all fall on . And when i went to NYC there was hardly any space for anyone to get through so a picture in my mind was very surprising and very depressing. One day browsing through the channels my mom found a movie about the twin towers being attacked they showed how the people planned about attacking all of this and that's the most i can remember. But its very cool to get an inside scoop on how they would have planned and it didn't seem easy and there was a lot of tension and depression because they didn't want anything to go wrong and everything happened the way they wanted it to.Somethings sound easy but aren't easy.

And if you reply yes to the question above then why don’t you do anything? Like mostly everyone knew about the attacks before why didn’t they do anything? If changes should be made why don’t you help make a change?

  48. 1. In my opinion it is important for the next generation because you need to no the past in order to continue in the future. It is important because this situation can come back and hit us any time any where .Someone once said that those who do not learn about history repeat it (or something to that extent). If you don't want to bad things to happen again, learn about and try to prevent them. It is also important to study about the 9/11 attacks because if you want to know how the stuff (calling all m Muslims terrorist etc..) really started, then you can research History and try to find out. History teaches us many vital lessons about life
