  1. I enjoyed watching all the movie trailers for honesty. I liked the ending clip and credits. I liked the fact that almost everything was on the laptop. It was different and everyone seemed to enjoy it a lot.
I didnt like the twitter parts in between the trailers, the whole idea of people tweeting about how awesome each trailer was is kinda awkward. Also because of how unrealistic the tweets were, not very humorous, not critical, but just "this is cool" "this is awesome"
Also the timing in between the events, there was a long pause and people were starting to get noisy and we had to get msjackson to calm everyone down twice.
I would have wanted to change those two things that kinda ruined the assembly because it was probably the best assembly we ever had, but those two things made it like other assemblies, timing and unrealistic scripts.

    1. i agree with your thought of the twitter.
i liked it but it wasnt what we would really say.

and for one of the parts, almost everyone said that was amazing or awesome.

    2. I agree with the Twitter being a bit awkward. Other than that, It was awesome. It would be more realistic if they said something funny or critical.

  2. My top three moments from the assembly were our Trailers, Donna's intros and the ending. I picked them because they were the most interesting and entertaining. The ending was very realistic and the was it went to credits were really great. And the rest were entertaining and had great content.

My least favorites were the Eco Bears, and the skits. I didn't like the Eco bears because you can barely hear them talk and their voice was monotone. The skits were also a little boring because again their voices and the overall story line.

If I could change one thing, I'd add the pictures Olga took. It would have been something different and a nice touch. Instead of just boring names you'd see interesting pictures.

    Overall great assembly.

    1. me too i would have changed eco bears, but i think the skits were a little better than decent, but yea, great assembly

    2. You couldn't hear the eco bears that well. I thought the skits were a little boring because I couldn't really hear them and the acting was okay.

  3. 3:i liked the tweets because it was something new

2:how the ending was it was clean and it was good and everyone was into it

1: my Favorite was the trailers because even the little kids were quite and they all started to read what the trailers said

what all my top threes had in common was that everyone was into it

    least impressed
the top three for my least impressed was all the parts were we had some problem and there was space where everyone was all talking for instance the part where we were about to announce the intermediate awards and we had some technical difficulty and then everyone was loud.

just like what i said before i would change the big gap we had when we were announcing the intermediate awards because after that everyone was zoned out

    1. i dont think everyone liked the twitter. mainly because the mc's never had expression

      Delete
    2. I think the twitter was interesting but like youre saying MC's Had no expression so it ruined it a litttle bit but it was still good

      Delete
    3. i agree.
the technical difficulty, and the eco bears was where we lost almost everyone

  4. 1.Trailer
    2.Trailer
    3.Closing Video

I picked these 3 choices because i liked the trailers because they were Awesometacular and the closing video was pretty Jokes #Ahlie

The one thing i wouldve changed was the Eco-Bear Ish and the Me 2 we presentation

    1. Are there any specific trailers that you liked? or just in general? I'd agree with you the closing trailer was spectacular, great setting.

  5. My top 3 were the most amazing trailers, the intros to the primary awards and etc that killed me and last but not least the end it was so cool and a great idea!:)i pick these 3 because i love the actors and there acting and the intros were new and i loved the different styles they used the end was a fun idea to close the assembly
the only thing i didnt like was i couldnt hear the eco bears on the laptop only if they had talking a bit louder and the would be the thing i change making sure the eco bears could be heared

    1. I agree cause like Mrs.Jabari ended up doing it live and complaining about how quiet it was and then yeah it was longer than it was supposed to because it was like double time cause of Me2We Redo and Eco-Bears Redo

      Delete
    2. yes the live parts ruined the whole "all tech" theme of the assembly.

  7. My top 3 favorite moments from the assembly, were the movie trailers, twitter, and the end. The reason why i liked those were because they were the most interesting and the ones that had my attention.

i only had one thing that didn't impress me and it was the eco bears because i couldn't hear it and that's what made me loose focus and for it to be a little boring

i would change the transitions because they weren't a smooth and quick as i thought they were going to be

    ReplyDelete
  8. i liked:
-that the assembly was all tech.
    -the trailers.
    -the ending video.

i thought these were the most unique, and it caught everyone's attention.

    i didnt like:
-that there were too many videos.
-whenever we switched from one video to the other, it caused lots of distractions, and the crowd got loud.
-that the thing we trying to avoid happened.( a teacher had to got everyone to settle down).

i picked these because like mr cheney talked about, we had our peaks, but we dropped down.
i think that this is what caused us to drop down a bit.

i wouldve changed the assembly by keeping all the next things on a different tab. and example is the twitter. we could have kept another tab of mr cheneys twitter, so that we wouldnt have to load up the next screen.

another thing that i wouldve changed is that the eco bears video. that was the biggest thing that made everyone loud.

    1. I agree that there were times that Ms.Jackson Had to get up and calm down the crowd, but we could of not had those moments if we put something like a skit or presentation to cover that break.

    2. I also liked how the assembly was all tech and I also didn't like how there were too many videos and it did cause a lot of distractions when we switched from one video to another.

that would ruin the whole idea of making it high-tech

  9. I would think that my top three favorite would be first the starting videos of the trailers they were really good and very organized. As well the younger kids did really enjoy and get the all the words as they read along.
Another part that I really enjoyed is the twitter. it was very well done and as well presented in a well manner.
Lastly would be the ending where Mr.Cheney put his hand on the camera and it faded along with the stars it was really impressive and i think it really topped everything off.

    1. I agree with you I do think that the last video topped everything off.

  10. i think the assembly was pretty good.

i think the trailers were one of the best parts.the crowd was engaged, we could tell because the kids were reading the words.so i think the trailers went great. also how 8b did some too. but i don't think the trailers they made to show honesty were all that great in showing it. they were great but didn't show why to be honest and the consequences or whatever.

i also really liked the ending, it was new and it set a new bar for others. i think the ending video was probably better than any other assembly

i also liked how it was short and it was on the laptop, because long assemblies are always boring

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree the length was really good. Not too long or extremely short. I also think the trailers and end was the best

  12. Moments I liked.

1.The first moments that i really liked was how the whole assembly was all tech. No one would really think of that. That made it one of a kind.

2.I really liked the trailers & all the videos. They were interesting and you can hear all the kids reading the sub-titles of the clip.

3.Last but not least, I really liked the Twitter. It was interesting & fun to do. You could tell that everyone was surprised by that.

The main reason I picked these 3 things was because no one used them. It was all new, & it wasn't boring. Everyone had a good time.

    Not the Best Moments

1.One thing, That we should add the photos, but i know that they came late.

    2. Too much of anything is bad. I think that if we put in a bit less videos and more people talking.

    3. The volume of the videos. I couldn't really hear the videos. Some were very good, but some i couldn't hear at all.

I picked these things because even though there little things, there still very important. The show cant go on without any of these things.

The One thing that I would chance, would be the photos, of all the kids.

  13. my final thoughts on the assembly are that it was actually fun how we put everything on the computer i think that is one of the reasons why the students were so interesting.the layout of the assembly was could to because our presentation was short like 56 sec per trailer.

    1.i didn't lose interest
i listed this has the top three impressive thing about the assembly because if i had lost interest in the the assembly i would start realizing that this assembly is getting longer and longer and i would be getting tried.

    2.the trailers were actually interesting
i think the trailer were good because it was new unlike a simple skit on the stage it was actually interesting like actually would watch the movie if there was a movie coming out based on the trailer

3.i liked how we used new technology like twitter, blog etc
i liked this because this made our assembly unique and i notice people were always looking at the screen even when the MC were the award winners.

if i was to change something in the assembly it would the trailer i personally think they were to many trailers the trailer were good but some layout for the trailer were used more then once.also some of the skit didn't make sense to me.another i would change is that i would get the picture done on time because i like the picture idea really much.

but overall the assembly was unique but it could have gone better.

    ReplyDelete
  14. My final thoughts on the assembly is that it was pretty good because it was something new and people didn't already see it.I think there were too many videos. They were good ones but then there were some boring ones. Overall I think we had our ups and downs of the assembly.
I think my top favourite moments were:
1)The first few trailers because everyone was really excited to see them.
2)I loved our ending because it was really good.
3)When the audience was really into what what on the screen.
    My least favourite were:
    1) When they were calling out the names because I found that boring and as the same as other assembly's
2)I like the twitter thing but the way the hosts were saying it it was really emotionless and less exciting.
3)Our timing really didn't work out so everyone got really loud and we lost them.

One thing I would change is that maybe in the beginning we shouldn't have let mrs.steers class do trailers because we did start them and they should have thought about their own "thing".

    ReplyDelete
  15. Honesty, the assembly was overall pretty good. First of all I liked how we had a lot of trailers and how 8B did some too. The little kids especially had fun reading the text so that makes us feel that they were engaged which they were. And the whole crowd became quiet automatically for the next trailer which meant they were really excited to see another one.Now we know how to make a trailer in one or two weeks and better.

Second, I liked how we tried something new like the twitter tweets and checking them up live. It was definitely something new but it didn't go as smooth that the whole class thought it would be. Most little kids were talking and the principle had to stop the crowd by raising her hand which no one in the class wanted it to happen. Well at least it was different and now we know how to improve it if we do it again.
Third would be the ending I can't say alot about it. I can say it was different and very very creative almost the whole schooled liked how we put that together. That had the biggest applause.
I think we had a little too much videos like the primary and intermediate and junior introduction by Donna weren't really necessary.
Second would be the sound for videos that was unclear.
Third would be audience and their interruption because of the gap of events.

  16. My 3 favourite moments from the assembly were:

    The trailers
    The ending
    The twitter

I thought that the trailers we made were very very good. I didn't really like the one Mrs. Steers class made it was not really that good. I also didn't like the clip the ecos bears made you could barely hear it and it was kind of boring. I thought the skits were good too.

I liked the twitter because it was different and new. I don't think any assembly has incorporated twitter before. Overall, I thought the twitter was well done

I really loved the ending part it was like my favourite part.
I thought the assembly was different and new it was pretty good. O.0

    1. I agree with you because you couldn't really hear the ECO-BEARS presentation.

  17. The introductions for the Primary, Junior and the Intermediate award winners was something new and unique. I also liked the ending video that concluded the assembly it was short but funny. The trailers were very good and creative.

The 3 things that I didn't enjoy as much as the other things was the video "hate the way you lie" because you could hardly hear anyone in the video and it was kind of boring because everyone was just standing or sitting in one spot maybe if the had filmed the video some where else it might have been more better or exciting. Maybe if they filmed it where the mural is it would have looked better. Another I thing I didn't like was that the pictures weren't up on the blog because I'm pretty sure everyone would have enjoyed watching the pictures of the kids doing different activities. It was kind of boring how they only called out the names because in every assembly they do the same thing but only in one assembly there was a slideshow of the kids that got the awards and that's nothing new. I also didn't like how they had those Eco-People come up and present something I couldn't even hear them and some of them didn't even know what to say.

The one thing that I would change would be the trailers they were good but I think there were too many of them and because of that everyone got distracted and people started to talk and once they start talking it's always hard to try and get back their attention because after the trailers everyone was noisy and we couldn't hear Laylaa and Anastasia talk.

  18. I liked the ending for the assembly, the film Ms.Steers class made and also the movie trailers!

I picked these because they had those funny moments those moments when you just want to know what is next the was fast action paced it made me sad that it had to end, Ms.Steers class made faces that were really funny, and the movie trailers were phenomenal with applause.

I didn't like the variety of the trailers because it got boring after a short period of time so it kinda got boring at the time..
The vocabulary we had used for our trailers was a bit too much for the grade 1's or younger or a bit older. And last but not least the speakers for the tweets were really boring.

I would change the timing because it was about the same as all of the assembly we could have made it faster.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 1. Trailer
    2. Skit
    3. Twitter

Trailers are beast, we spent so much time to those and the older ones on the cheat was amazing, Skits were great because some of them showed you how you could be honest in that type of situation, Twitter was great because a lot of time was spent on it as well and it went smoothly which was great.

    1. Talking

Talking was all that least impressed me because there was a lot of it but although some of those comments are about either the blog or trailers.

I wouldn't really change anything I thought the assembly went nicely, on my perspective nothing really went wrong other than at chattering, so I guess the only thing i would change is the talking.

    ReplyDelete
  20. when me,neha and sonali went to classes to give the awards to the students who won them, alot of teachers told us that the assembly was the best one yet, and i agree. as far as our preparation for the assembly, it turned out great, and everyone liked it.

    1. the end
    2. the trailers
    3. the blog

i really liked the idea of the end an dit turned out to be awesome. the trailers were really good and as mr.cheney said it was something new and that also turned out really good. the blog put everything together. the audience always had something to look at, and their attention wasnt that gone. also the blog had all the videos and pictures so it was easily accessible.

    4. the script for mc's
    5. the other presentations (eco,me2we)
    6. i got no more

the script for the mc's was on the screen and i it was a better idea to have the audience looking at the screen so they have an idea of whats happening, but when mr.cheney had to move the mouse to tell the mc's where/ when they should start just made it look messy. the other presentations were good as far as i heard them practice but it didnt work out since you can barely hear them and that it was making the audience some what bored. (anyone barely heard them speak so almost the whole school went quite)

i would change the 2 things i found the leat impressive. may be if we had the mc's witha script that they almost memorized would have made it look better. also if the eco bears and me to we made a slideshow while they were talking wold have made it more intersting.

    1. I agree the mc's were really emotionless but then they said it was because they didnt get all the practice because they were told what to say just a day ago.

  22. #1 is the starting when they said welcome to our high tech assembly becuase it went in a book and it zoomed in #2 is when the trailer came on the cheat I liked it becuase that was our best one and #3 is the ending becuase I liked how it ended and went to the credits right away and how the hand blended in with the screen after. #1 the timings #2 the twitter they posted the same things a few times but the twitter was good but the posts could of been better. Things that I would be the expressions at the end they were sitting they should of moved a little but over all it was amazing and something different.

    1. I agree ,one time all the people posting kept using the word "awesome"

      Delete
  23. The least three things i was impressed with was the repetitiveness of the trailers as some had the same theme putting all the trailers almost the same played over and over again.
The next thing i disliked was the distractions between each video and sections as the little kids would wonder off the screen and start talking.
Last thing that did not go according to plan was the names on each award and how some names got mixed up .

    ReplyDelete
  24. The assembly was very good because I think we did something that no other class has done. The way that we used technology was very unique. Most classes do power points which makes it very boring. Also the transition.

The things I liked about the assembly is the way that no one had to get up to present what they have to contribute to the assembly. Another one is the Twitter. The twitter idea was the best part to me because the student enjoy using twitter and its a great way to see what students want to say.

The things that I didn't like as much is the way that the M-C were saying the Tweets. They didn't really put any emotion onto what was written onto the screen. They could of made it more interesting so that more people can be engaged. That is the only thing that was the problem.

The thing that I might want to change is maybe the transition by asking some question or playing a game so that we don't loose the audience. By that maybe the assembly would be better

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If we played a game , don't you think everyone would get loud and start screaming out answers? That way it would be really hard to get them back to paying attention to the screen.

    2. i agree with janat.
whenever we do that in an assembly, theres always too much noise, and we need a teacher to get students back to focus.

    3. i agree that the m-c's were not saying the tweets with much emotion.
