Narrative Writing - The 3rd Draft "punctuation"
Its time to polish up our 3rd and final draft of our Narrative writing. The focus is punctuation. Basic sentences assumed. We want to explore and use appropriately and effectively various forms of punctuation.
1. proper use of commas (especially in dialogue)
2. explore use of brackets (parenthesis)
3. use italics
4. the dash
Ideally do not overuse the forms of punctuation, but use them effectively to enhance your writing style. The punctuation will create a great flow to your writing and provide it with flare and life.
Italics, Brackets and the Dash are level 4 punctuation techniques.
Watch the videos in the punctuation tool bar icon and incorporate these types of punctuation in your draft.
