Is Sean going to be able to prevent an "incident" between David and Sean? He said, Scott doesn't stay mad for long, is this going to be true?

I think that Sean lieing was a good idea because if Sean had told the truth, then David would be in big trouble. He would get beat up by the 3 of them. When they do that then Scott and the boys well be suspended. Sean would feel gilty for that. Since he had lie, David would be fine, and the boys won't be suspended.

Once again we see that Sean is stuck with a dilemma in between his 2 friends who are in a constant battle opposing each other. Sean did lie once again, I could easily say that lying is wrong he shouldn't have done it. But, that's looking at it from the island view, putting myself in Sean's shoes I realize that what he did at that moment, was what he thought was right. You would've lied to keep peace in between 2 of your friends, especially since that friend got you an A+.
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean by "in order for him to be a great person, he had to be a good one." He did a small evil to do an even greater good (either that or I just perceive it that way). He told a small lie so that he may keep peace.
I think you may have made a mistake with the second last question but, I'll take that Sean as a Scott. I think Sean can prevent another indecent he prevented the first one, why can't he prevent the second? He could simply lie his way out again, and say it wasn't David.
I think Scott is going to be angry for a long time but, it seems we all think that Scott is the bad guy. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe he's a neglected child and therefor needs help? And Sean's the only one there that seems to understand him. Maybe inside he just feels that David has just stole the person whom really mattered to him. Scott could be considered the bad guy in someways but he is another symbol in this story about you. Scott, I think Scott is gonna stay angry on this one and confront David in front of Sean, because he was kicked out, humiliated, embarrassed in front of everyone Caroline, Lisa, Christina, Sean, most importantly David, they seem to have this rivalry from the start of the hosting.

Sean lied so he can Save his pal David, just like how David saved Sean. He made a wise decision to prevent a fight from happening between Scott and David.

I think a fight will start between Scott and David because at he moment Scott is mad and he also didn't like David to begin with, David won't back out of a fight since he didn't really care when Sean warned him about Scott, he actually seemed excited. I
I predict that the climax of this book will be the fight between Scott and David and it will seem kinda wierd since the same thing happened to Sean by David, the only difference is that Scott and David know eachother, hate eachother and have a reason to fight unlike the last fight with Sean and David.

Doesn't this kinda show you that Scott and David will get into a fight and Scott will be angry at Sean for letting David to even hang out with them at the first place. I think Scott will stay angry for a pretty long time because this wasn't something he could just ignore.

he was preventing scott from getting near david.
he was also making sure that they do not start a fight.
i think sean may have been a sort-of great person.
he was making sure both (mostly scott) stay out of trouble.
he was also sticking up with david, knowing his nature can be quite rough.
i think sean may be able to keep eachouther from fighting.
it is not guarantied he will be able to stop both from being at the same place at the time.
( since scott is willing to ditch class, and go look around for david.)
and sean must know from expierience
that scott doesnt stay mad for long, considering that they hung out last year.

thanks and if he even did get in a fight with Scott nick and Gavin he 100% knows that he will not get in trouble as they are the three biggest trouble makers and the principle would obviously trust David again as the people have the mid set that David could not do something like that as he is in a wheelchair.

He's gonna have to choose sides, he's very much becoming less and less like Scott, and straying away from bad and going towards good. But look at Scott if he can't accept that his friend was taken, How can he change? He seems so arrogant, he doesn't wanna be a nerd, so why would he want lower himself to Sean's level. Put your self in Sean's shoes.

@tabish I see where your going right and I agree with you that Sean and David are become very close and Sean leaving David be hide it's like one door closing and another one opening scotts the closing door and David is the one that is opening.it's better for Sean if he forgets about Scott and he will stay with his boys and he'll go hang with David .

ReplyDelete@TheSauceBoss that's a hard desicion, because he might defend Scott because he's his old time friend and ex-partner in crime and maybe still feels they are friends,or he might choose David because David has done lots of things for him,like help him get out of trouble for them being late,showing him so basketball tricks,and getting them an A+ on the project, so it really hard to choose who.

@TheSauceBoss I think David think of Scott as a stupid person (like he said to Sean).He might thinks he's stupid because he was smoking along with Nick and Gavin in the bathroom all unconcerned and not caring if anyone can catch him.I think Scott think that David is very dumb because he's always talking to him slowly thinking that he can't understand because he's in a wheelchair.

ReplyDeleteYour right this only highlights David's complexity, Scott seems to be that weirdo, but in a sense isn't Scott as complex and as different in his own way? Because remember what we think as complex is our own "definition" in a sense we're all complex, you and I are too unique to be neatly shelved into drawers and cabinets like clothes. If aliens came here and tried to categorize us like clothes in a room, they would leave with major headaches.

ReplyDeleteYou seem to jump to conclusions too quickly, have you thought that maybe Mr.McCully will double think over what Sean's word's were? Because when we pre judge a concience will come over us later and make us realize our mistakes. Wasn't that the same with Sean and David, Sean pre judged him and now is his concience and his brain realized he's a pretty cool guy.

i think people lie because it is an easy way out of situations.
people dont think about what will happen,
they just need an excuse out of something.
but sometimes lies are good in a way.
for example, sean told a lie to to keep david and scott out of trouble, and not do something stupid.

@ mr. cheney i think we lie because saying the truth might get you in trouble but say if a teacher asks if you were done your homework and she/he didnt want to see it they were just asking, then some people that didnt do there work might lie about it

At that moment we don't have time to think, the time we spend to look over Sean and David's problems, almost every aspect of them, the way we critisize them we have the time to do this. But, at that moment we would say whatever seems appropriate at the time. That or either we are agin looking at this from the island view and bringing our island morals and values into reality, and it's situations'. Last comment of the day.

ReplyDeletetoo add to my connection: and when they lie they usually get away with it in that situation and those lies are well thought. but lies like when 2 people call you over at the same time, but you dont tell them the other is calling me too, you would only make it to one place and lie to the other person, those lies will most likely get you caught the next day and maybe that person wont talk to you nomore.

Yes I think david did the right thing Becuse then it will look like Sean ditched him, I think Sean is a great person because he's over smart he knows what do do at bad times. I think Sean wil not stop the fight because Scott knows that there's only one person in a wheel chair and Sean will try to stop the fight but Nick and Gavin will hold him, but I think this time Scott will not cool down easily.

I think Sean lieing was the right decision because that action protected eveyone best. If he told the truth it would have caused a fight not only between Scott and David but also between Sean and David. He was a great person he thought further and protected everyone.

@Mr.Cheney David does want to start a fight and so does scott, but i think david will start it. Scott confront david and will insult scott because david will probably not say his answer seriously or even insult him a little. Then when scott insults him he will get angry and throw the first punch......well thats how i see it.
