Rebound 18 - Reality

We showcased in class today the results of our discussion about who was right David or Sean.  The conclusion I wanted to highlight was based on the idea that neither one was wrong, and in fact the both were %100 right.  This was not a product of fact, rather, it was the product of perception.  Perception formed from experiences, hopes, beliefs, understanding, and biases.  Perception is reality.  David and Sean both saw what they saw because of who they are, despite looking at the same thing.  Thus, they were both right, seeing different things while looking at the same thing.  This type understanding extends to us as human beings.  "We all see different things and understand the world around us differently."

If you did not read though the blog last night (Rebound 17) then go back and review the great dialogue between students and teacher.

Comment on our class and previous blog discussion:
*Did you like the discussion?
*Did it challenge you to think and learn?
*Do you agree or disagree with it - "We all see different things and understand the world around us differently, despite sometimes looking and seeing the same thing"

  1. i liked the class discussion yesterday because many students in our class were active and since our poll was 50 50 it was really interesting to see other people opinion.

yes this did challenge me to think and learn about other people opinions and it also made me learn the other people point of views on what happened.

i agree with quote because everyone has there own visualization on the world. Some people think about the world as an equal fair world and no one talks behind other backs .However, some people think the world is unfair and many bad people.

The people that think the world is unfair is usually people that gets talked about behind their back for instance David. However, the people that think the world is fair maybe never got talked behind their backs just like Sean.

  2. @am17 you are right, because people like Scott talked about David behind his back.

  3. I liked the class discussion yesterday because as am17 had said there were a lot of people that posted and had very good comments.

It did challenge me to think and learn because some people had their own opinion and perspective on David and Sean and what happened with the teenagers. It also helped me learn because people had other thoughts and different things to say, so it was fun to ask question and respond to their post.

I agree with this quote because it is true everybody has a different view on the world and how it is today. Everyone has a different visualization of the world.

Some people might think that the world is there fantasy life, but really its not its reality meaning its not a fantasy. They think that their are gonna live in a world were people wont talk bad about them behind their back (as am17 said).

Others are serious about life and don't really care what people say about them. They just live their life they want too.

  4. “We see the world, not as it is, but as we are──or, as we are conditioned to see it"

I read this quote and it is similar to the one Mr. Cheney posted:

"We all see different things and understand the world around us differently, despite sometimes looking and seeing the same thing"

  5. The quote that i posted and the one Mr.Cheney posted are similar because they are talking about the same thing. They are talking about visualizing the world and how you see it.

  6. i definately liked our discusion.
lots to think about, and challenge other people people to think more.it was quite interesting in the beggining of the blog.
just 3 people thought david was right, and the rest thought he was wrong.
so i got me thinking about their perspective, and tell people about some facts about why david could possibly be right.
    but in the end,
sean and david were both right.
    which i now understand.

i found the discusion confusing at times,
and about how people could be looking at the same thing, but not see the same.
it challenged me to think more, and
    understand what this meant.

    i agree with the quote.
this also has to do with the first day of school and the fight with david and sean.
(and please point out if you think i am wrong)
some people saw sean bullying david, and making david seem innocent, while others saw david
    punching, and hurting sean.

and i agree with the example mr cheney told us.
the one where people of other race see things differently, and see people making fun of their skin, while others dont get why the person was so mad, or dont realize what had happen.

  7. @ eden
isnt it more than their visualization?
isnt it apart of their reality?

  8. I was really impressed with our yesterday's class discussion.it was really interesting because every one had different opinions and they all were right just like sean and david. They both are right and 100% sure of what they saw but, they both saw it from a different perspective.david goes through this every day so, when he saw them he picked it right away that they were making fun of him but sean doesn't goes through this everyday so, he thought that those boys didn't do anything and david started the argument.
it absolutely challenged me to think and to learn because i was getting double minded, for a moment i thought that david is right and on the second moment i thought that sean is right because they both were pretty sure of what they both saw.In addition even all of the students had the same situation as mine. It challenged me to learn because both sean and david were right so, i got to learn that rebound is not about sean and david they are about us.
i agree with "We all see different things and understand the world around us differently, despite sometimes looking and seeing the same thing" because it's true that we all see different things and understand them differently because david is on a wheel chair and people makes fun of him and treat him differently makes him feel bad but, sean doesn't has to go through this everyday that is why he had a different perspective that those high school boys didn't do anything and it's the same thing with us if we go through something only we can feel it but, not others and so its true that everyone sees things differently and understands them differently.

  10. @ Malav, well, yeah its not only about their visualization its also about their reality and how they view it.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @ tehreem
    very good points.

do you think that sean will ever feel bad, and understand the feeling about david?
will he then realize more about the people around them, and will react the same way as david?

    ReplyDelete
  12. i agree with the quote eden wrote that “We see the world, not as it is, but as we are──or, as we are conditioned to see it" is so true because everyone does sees things differently so suppose if eden was david and i was sean and she goes through this everyday but, i don't so obviously we both would have different perspectives.

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Pizza we would have different perspectives because you would never feel how i would everyday about my situation you would never have a chance to be in my shoes and feel the way David feels.

    ReplyDelete
  14. i donr think that someday sean will feel bad and understand the feelings about david because sean doesn't has to sit on the wheel chair forever and has to go through all this everyday but, david does.
i would like to mention this quote to you “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”
― Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

  15. @Mr.Cheney who is this quote written by "We all see different things and understand the world around us differently, despite sometimes looking and seeing the same thing"
I think that the discussion yesterday was great!
i believe that not only yesterdays but other discussions to have been a challenge.Although it has been a challenge i think that that it has really brought up my vocabulary and increased the way i think and look at the world itself. It has also greatly improved the way i research and this really has helped.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @ twinkle toes that's what i said that we both would have different perspectives because i won't go through what you would everyday but as Mr. Cheney mentioned we both would be right because everybody sees the world around them differently.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @pizza I think that Sean went through similar situations , maybe that is why he became friends with Scott,Nick ,and Gavin.Maybe others just did not accept Sean.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Our discussion was very appealing. I learned many reasons why my opposing side (who were on Sean's side) thought he was right and David was wrong, because of how half the class was on one side and the other on the other side it caused great debate making our discussion more interesting.

Yes, this did challenge me to think and and to learn because when i read the opposing sides comments, it felt like i was gravitating towards them because of how much i was learning and how valid their points were, but this also challenged me to find a way to disagree with them using evidence.

I agree with that quote, because before i thought it was like what Malav said which was it was like a court there was two sides, one right and the other wrong. but after hearing that quote it taught me that we are all trained to see different thing and have different opinions on things. David is probably trained to see people making fun of him, Sean is probably trained to see just normal teenagers having fun, similar to us, we are trained to see things differently than other either from experience, people we grew up around, or who we hang out with.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @pizza that's how i felt, i felt like i didn't know who was right and who's was wrong and was contemplating if i should believe Sean.

    ReplyDelete
  20. To make a connection to how Mr.Cheney spoke about you don't just become friends with those kind of people the pyramid and this can maybe relate to this maybe Sean was not accepted by the top so he tried and maybe until how he reached Scott,Nick, and Gavin because.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @rohan no, i dont think that sean went through the similar situations before because he has never been in a wheelchair before that is why he had a different perspective than david.

    ReplyDelete
  22. @pizza that quote you put is similar to empathy because i think it means your stepping into the other persons shoes, feeling how feel, seeing what they see.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ rohan ooooh....i think that you are trying to say that sean went through the similar situation before because maybe once he was in those boys's place that's why he had a different perspective.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I enjoyed this disscusion because it was very interesting and applyes to my everyday life as a black female.
It really made me think deeper below "right" and "wrong" into expectations, habits and more.
I do agree that they're both right because I probably would have thought those teenagers wern't doing anything. But if I'm used to it, I probably would have reconized it. Its both ways

    ReplyDelete
  25. @pizza
    @rohan
oh i never thought of that, i actually began to forget that Sean used to be bad. That might be a good reason why Sean sees in differently

    ReplyDelete
  26. @ shelby ya i think the same and that's what i was trying to say that sean has a different perspective than david because he has never been through what david goes through everyday

    ReplyDelete
  27. @pizza
I agree he doesn't go through half the stuff David does eg. bullying and everyday struggles. Therefore, Sean probably wouldn't even notice if those teenagers were teasing him

    ReplyDelete
  28. @ shelby same! I also forgot that sean was a bad boy before he became david's friend till rohan mentioned that maybe sean has a different perspective because maybe he been through the similar situation before.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @pizza yeah that is what i meant.
@Shelby yeah so true. But you never know maybe Sean before he met the three boys was a nice guy the book does not tell us anything about that!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Great comments,

Shelby you are bang on, we are conditioned, intentionally and unintentionally to see things a certain way.

and Shelby again, you got it, this lends itself to empathy! another reading skill we will explore. Now you will be better equipped to be empathetic

@ Eden, that is a great quote you found!!! great effort looking it up!

@ Malav, I wrote the quote. A product of many things I have read and experienced, and inspired by our class today. The ideas have been around long before me, I just summarized the class discussion.

@Nicole, yes this is a great connection to you as a black female and the realities you see and confront daily.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @ Rohan yes, Sean was "the guy"at his old small school.

@Tehreem, yes these are some great points about Sean and his struggles

    ReplyDelete
  32. and yes, Sean was a victim of this during his fight with David. Despite what happened people saw what they what they saw, and 3 people saw Sean start it. Even Sean realized when he said "what if they saw it wrong."

    ReplyDelete
  33. Our discussion on reality made me realize that sean and david were both right, they both did see the same thing but one of them saw more then just three teenagers laughing at a hand motion. David's whole life is trained to see people mocking him. On the other hand, sean doesnt see the world like david does.
I did like the discussion just because it opened my mind to more things that we should learn from narrative. It also challenged my thoughts to think outside the box. I agree with the quote, i have nothing against it, its true that everyone is different and everyone has been raised and taught to think a certain way self-conscientiously, even though we also can open our minds to other perspectives and other ways of thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yes, i lilked the discussion because it was challenging and made you think ,everyone was asking questions and answering others and it was a great disscussion.
It did made me think because it made me why if whatever i was saying was right and that why the other person(questiong me or answering me )would say that and response.Sean and david had their own perspectives
I agree because as mrcheney said both of them had thier own perspectives and their own idea of what happened. And that david might have saw what sean didnt because sean wouldnt be able to see how it was for david becaue he wouldnt and was never in a position like davids to he proably didnt notice it and had his own version of what happened.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I liked the discussion because a lot of us before though there will be only 1 final answer but really there is going to be no final answer because from one point to another there are other routes and ways and more depth in .We are able to take it from one point to another to another and just keep on continuing on and on. The thing I liked the best was we didn't just have the same opinion about the same situation we all had different answers, ways and examples to prove our point. A lot of us were able to get our point beyond and across the room meaning we had a small perspective but with the help of other people what they agree with or disagree with and why we were able to add more to our understanding and try to find a higher point .Which is high thinking level! The more intense this argument goes (the one between our class) the more in depth we go to. The more digging we do in the text.... ex. A sugar bag...in order for the sugar to come out you need to rip it...in order for the sugar to come out you need to shake it...YOU need to do it because otherwise it won’t come out at all and you will have a sour tea or coffe.Just in the same way if you don’t search through the text, make observations, and predict you will be no where now.
Yes it did challenge me a lot because as you had said there is only one answer that’s right but we are trying to find clues but when finding them we lead to another path. The more discussions we have the more i get in to making post .Seeing Looking, Watching, Seeing, Sight ,Vision, Perspective, Observing is what is mostly needed.
I agree with the quote because the way you see it the way you act meaning in which way or angle you see it is the way you will respond if you see it scary then you will respond in a scary way. We all will see everything differently because we look at a different angle. For ex. a picture if you look at the bottom of a flower you will say it has no colour its ugly but if you look at it from the top you will see the nice hot or cold colours and how they blend in and you say its pretty but us humans can agree with one section in language we can only be looking at one angle and we totally forget about the other because we are mostly paying attention to our opinion and that’s why the blog comes in handy because we can realize the other angles that we can’t see but others can.And the others can see the side we are looking at

    ReplyDelete
  36. @Shelby: Yes if we are able to look from other peoples point of view we will understand more clearly and will be able to be back and forth on the blog.... "My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant's point of view."
    - H. Fred Ale

  37. @Neha and we are able to understand why a person acts a certain way and have certain opinions

  39. @ mr cheney
so they saw "right", according to how they saw it.
    or does this not apply?

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Shelby:yes and also we need to understand which angle because there is no way we can ask them a question or do a post towards them if you don't understand how or where they got that from

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think the class discussion in our class because I think this is a very important topic also as a result from the poll our class is basically equal. This made the blog more interesting to read and review because there was more debate and understandings.

Yes, this did challenge me to wonder and understand about the other people's opinion and perspective of what happened. This took me into more thinking as in the characters bias and experiences these all are referred to make choices.

I absolutely agree with this quote. We all do see the same thing but we all comprehend it differently. For example, when two people look at a statue, one will be a rock collector and the other will be a sculptor. They both see the statue but the rock collector sees and wonders what type of rock it is. And the sculptor will look at the beauty of the statue or sculptor. Another example, a robber will notice quickly that there is cameras at this store but a customer or shopper might be looking at the sales in the mall. But there both at the same place thinking two different things, because of their background, the robber is used to stealing so he or she will be careful of not being caught, but shopper or customer might be too careful for spending money because he or she is just looking for the best food. I can also apply this to my first example too. I think I have a better understanding about bias and also perspective. I think a huge connection to this topic is art, many see more than others and many see less or something different comparing to the artist.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @ twinkle toes you can be empathetic to others, and if you didn't go through what they were through you can at least be sympathatic. And if you cant do that you can always feel sorry for them am I right?

    ReplyDelete
  43. i think if not everyone,
almost all are thinking more about narrative, thinking more and more as we read on.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I liked the class discussion because bunch of people like me didn't know that they both are right but the perception of them makes us see that they are looking at the same thing.

It challenged me to think of others and me of how they think about each and other and they all thought the same most likely so yes I did learn a lot.

I agree with "We all see different things and understand the world around us differently, despite sometimes looking and seeing the same thing" because I see the world as a peaceful educational and some people might think of it differently. This goes for about everything like it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @ tushar why do you think the world is equal?

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Abeeshan, these are great connections

    ReplyDelete
  47. i think the class discussion was informative because whenever i have a debate on if that happened or not, i never think of both people being right, i always think that im right, but the class discussion made me think differently

    ReplyDelete
  48. @ mr cheney
this is great to know, but i dont think
that a teacher would really care.
they might just want to find out the truth, and
    not care about the rest.
    Mr McCully
    did this.
when the 3 people said sean started it,
Mr McCully believed them, and was ready to suspend sean, without caring about what sean had to say.

    ReplyDelete
  49. @ prabhjot
    same.
when the people against me try to explain
that they are right, i think that i am, and not them.
the blog posts yerterday made me think different, and i was listening to what they had to say.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Abeeshan pardon but when did I say that.

    ReplyDelete
  51. it made me think differently about the different perspectives in the world,i only saw it as if one thing happened then everybody who could see it should have. but now i realize that there is an infinite amount of different perspectives, because like mr cheney said, everybody has a different perspective

    ReplyDelete
  52. @ tushar i meant peaceful educational

    ReplyDelete
  53. @ Mr.Cheney thank you ......my dad used to explain songs to me so i got it from there

    ReplyDelete
  54. yes, i agree with this quote. i didnt think about every thing having a different perspective, but now i know that everybodys perspective is 100% true, because of the discussion. withhout it i would probablly think im right untill they convince me really good

    ReplyDelete
  55. @ Malav Im amazed how you connected back to the beginning WOW! I also agree but that doesnt men all teachers dont care different teachers have different opinions or methods to deal with stuff and situation.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Abeeshan I meant that based on where I went and read about some of the countries, seemingly I'm not sure if I remember anything bad about them?

    ReplyDelete
  57. for eg. me and my cousin always debated, like in the summer i got about 10 other guys and we played baseall, once we get home, we start debating about howmy team cheated and how my team didnt. i never agreed to him saying that we cheated untill the next day one of the people that were playing with us,and he addmitted that he cheated. thats like the only time that i would actually say that your right im wrong

    ReplyDelete
  58. @ Mr.Cheney don't some people attend to have the same perspective at the same time like maybe the question "should children be allowed to play with toy guns." i think many people would of said no.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ tushar what do you mean you dont remember anything bad from them

    ReplyDelete
  60. @ Tushar I understand now. I get it now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Abeeshan, yes indeed there are times when people will indeed share same opinions, understandings and perspectives. I did not highlight this, because this was an assumption and understanding you already have.

The lesson was to take you past facts, and right and wrong, and into a philosophical world of deeper understanding of humans and how the interact with the world around them.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @ ABEESHAN
    yes that is true.
but we havent gotten to know all of sean and david's teachers have we?
    we know McCully the most.
    but still, you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I also think that this "perspective" idea is true even for Mr.Mcully but his perspective is a generic perspective of feeling sorry for thekid in the wheelchair.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @prabhjot I mean for the term them it's the country, province, State.

    ReplyDelete
  65. @ malav i meant in the real world by refferring to the book

    ReplyDelete
  66. @ abeeshan
    oh ok.
but couldnt it be the same thing?
    even in the real world?

    ReplyDelete
  67. @tushar do you think how mr.mccully perspective on david is the same perspective as everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  68. @tushar because some people do not care if david is in a wheel chair.

    ReplyDelete
  69. @Tushar
I think perspective is the reason Sean and David had different answer on those teenagers.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @Aqib I thnk that most of the people that aren't in wheelchairs would be feeling sorry for him because if he was a non-fictional character then I would feel sorry for him.

    ReplyDelete
  71. @abeenash: yes if two people look at the same thing and do two different jobs they will look at it differently. Basically it’s about how we look at everything in a different angle we all having a different perspective. Being two or more DIFFERENT PEOPLE we will look at things in a different way. We need to look at other things in the other way we should understand our point but then we should also should understand the other peoples angle and their point. The more we understand everyone else's point the more we will be an active reader and responder

    ReplyDelete
  72. @m17 , i dont think mr.mccully has his perpestcive the same for everyone and especially, o david because he was in a wheel chair and that since saen always got in truoble last year then, he would have blamed sean

    ReplyDelete
  73. @tushar do you feel sorry for him if you never knew him.also if he asks for help would you help him.

    ReplyDelete
  74. @ tushar i think most people will feel sorry for a person in a wheel chair .... i think thats a human nature its automatic

    ReplyDelete
  75. @ jan101 what do you mean that his perspective is the same fow everyone

    ReplyDelete
  76. @ neha thats also called empathy or sympathy

    ReplyDelete
  77. @am17 no i think everyone thinks of David differently, some think of him as the poor kid in a wheelchair(like Mr.McCully), some think of him mean (like Scott)

    ReplyDelete
  78. @ neha i agree with what you said thhat if two people are doing the differnt job just like sean and david are doing the different job because david is on a wheel chair and sean is is not therefore, they both have different perspectives because they both look at things differently.

    ReplyDelete
  79. @jan 101
ok true sean did get screamed at more.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @Aqib I would help him bcause of his wheelchair and kindness to help Sean but if he trys to drag me into a problem i wouldn't.

    ReplyDelete
  81. @ janat
do you think McCully still thinks of sean as the same as before, or does McCully think of sean differently?
if sean is involved in a fight or something, do you think that McCully will punish the other person, or sean?

    ReplyDelete
  82. @ tushar what if the person in the wheelchair was like david but was very aggresive and always punched people, would you feel sorry

    ReplyDelete
  83. 2 probhjot i think that janat wrote that he has different perspectives for everyone not same perspectives

    ReplyDelete
  84. @shelby
yes true everyone has a different perspective on david if someone saw him only fight with sean i do not think that they will like him.

    ReplyDelete
  85. @Jan101: I was reading what u posted to @am17 I think everyone has there own perspective about everything and everyone because of the past and present. Just the way when Sean and David got into a fight Mr.McCully had his own opinion on Sean because of his past but Sean said there would be another way to settle this. So everyone has their own opinion about everything and everyone either if it’s a good bad maybe yes no what ever they have something to say about it

    ReplyDelete
  86. @Shelby
I dont think anyone thinks of him as poor because he got those expensive shoes but the other kids do have some sympathy for David.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @Prabhjot I wouldn't really look deep into his personality but think outside of what it seems.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @neha alright then thatis alright.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I though the post and the poll was interesting because about 50% of the class said yes they were talking about David and the other 50% said that both of them weren't talking about them.

It made me think of other people's perspective and how they see things differently and after that talk we had in class I realized that people see things differently than other others like Sean didn't see anything wrong but on the other hand David saw that they were making fun of him.

I agree, because Sean and David did see the same thing but David and Sean saw the situation differently.

    ReplyDelete
  90. @Nicole i don't literally mean poor as in have no money i mean poor as in they feel sorry for him

    ReplyDelete
  91. @shelby ya i don't think david is poor because he does not wear weird cloths.

    ReplyDelete
  92. @nicole:yes people can get expensive shoe but on for sale how do you not know that he got jordans but for a very good price...it could be his cousin so it could be second hand im not trying to be rude or anything theres nothing wrong with it but he can be "non-wealthy"

    ReplyDelete
  93. I think what Sean saw could have been right because to me i think David is so use to people making fun of him that he always thinks if someone makes a face they think there making fun of him and they could have made fun of him but a 50% chance he could have been hallucinating or he could just think that they're talking about him you cant blame him because he can get paranoid when hes in that state

    ReplyDelete
  94. @neha it said in the book that his shoes were good as new.

    ReplyDelete
  95. @shelby and nicole:ooh ok it makes sense

    ReplyDelete
  96. @am17:i can have very nice shoes because i can take good care of them very good care but they can be second hand BUT also in stead of the second hand we can say he bought new pairs but for like a very cheap price

I didn't say anything was wrong with being "non-wealthy". I was saying David must have a good amount of money because Jordans are expensive, at the very least $70 with a really good deal. They say in the narrative that its David's Jordans.

  98. @Malav, i think maybe his perspective changed a little because he wasnt getting into fight at school or even into truoble.I mthink most likely mr.mccully will punish sean because he said he wont get intoi fights but it alsop depends on who the other person is but i do think sean would get into more trouble

@Neha yes , everyone does have their own perspective about everything differently and like youo said it does matter about the past and presnt because it changes how you feel about someone and i think myabe sean is now changing his perspesctive in mccullys eyes because if mr mc cully found out that sean got a A+ he would get shocked too probaly

  99. @malav i think he look at Sean differently as Sean has changed the way he acts because he is hanging with David who has kept him out of trouble.

  100. Yes. I did like the class discussion because it helped me understand somethings that I did not understand before. A lot of people told me about how people see differently, but I never really got that. Now I understand that people see differently because it could be there skin colour , if there handicap, or even mentality ill, then they might think that everyone is making fun of them.
It challenged me to think because I didn't understand any at first, but then I thought about how would I feel if I was in David's situation. I would feel the same way. I would feel like I'm different from everyone and that just because I'm in a wheelchair people would treat me differently.
I agree with this because the quote talks about how people see differently but if you change bodies with someone, you will automatically think differently. If it's handicap to healthy they are gonna change perspectives very fast.

  103. I liked the class discussion on the blog because it made me think from two different perspectives ( David was right or Sean was right )

Yes it did challenge me to think and learn because it made me think again about my answer it made me think about if David was really right because other people had a good arguement against me ( why David was wrong and why Sean was right ) So that challenged me to think beyond David or Sean being right.

I agree with the quote because even though we are looking at the same thing we all see the same thing differently. For example: like we are reading the book Rebound and right now all of us are arguing about Sean or David being right or wrong and we all have diiferent thoughts about why David's right or why he's wrong or why Sean is right or why Sean's wrong.
We are all talking about the same thing but in different perspectives.

david hasnt really kept sean out of trouble has he?
they just got into a fight with those 2 boys.
and doesnt david encourage sean to be late to class?

but yes, McCully thinks david is good, and making sean good.

  107. i understood the discussion that we had in class about whos right. david is in a wheelchair so when the teenagers were talking and looking at him, david thought that the teenager were taliking about him. sean has no disability, and the way he saw it was that the teenagers werew minding their own buissness, so he diidnt react. i agree with the discussion we has. the way the situation was undestood thats the way sean and david saw it.

also david is very complex. i think this because the lady who offered sean and david a ride home was feeling sorry for david that he was in a wheelchair and he got in a fight, but david didnt see that, when he doesnt like people feeling sorry for him.

  108. @Neha
That could be posssible, but they hinted in the text that those Jordans were not second hand, on sale but real, ordinary Jordans straight from the store.

  109. @neha sean said that the shoes looked like his so are you saying he also has fake jordans.

Thats okay, I see where your coming from too.

  111. @neha good reply to am17 and it's true everyone has their own perspective about evrything and everyone and it usually depends on their past and present because Mr.McCully thought that David didn't do anything when David and Sean got into a fight. He thought Sean did everything because of his past ( all the fights he got into )
