Hello Team,
The Graduation and potential Grad trip is coming. Give me some ideas what you want to do. Be realistic over night trips are fun and memorable but cost money.
In the past we have gone as BIG as Quebec city for 3 days and 2 nightsd and as small as a bluejays game. The prices ranged from 650 to go Quebec and 15 to go to the Jays game.
ideas?
Quebec takes a while to get there and we just wasted a day so pretty much we're paying for 2 days 2 nights. (Grammar mistake you want too do. Second sentence)
ReplyDeleteNiagara Falls would be good because at the most it would take us 2 - 3 hours to get there and then we would have the whole day to spend to go sight seeing chilling.
ReplyDeleteI think the grade eights would want to go somewhere that will be a memory for life! Well thats what I think.
ReplyDeleteNiagara is 1 hour
ReplyDeleteIll fix the typo!
ReplyDeleteNot with traffic its not!
ReplyDeleteWe could go to wonderland :), ,it would be a memory for all the grade 8 OR as as FPSRussia said we can go to Niagara falls . that would be fun too.
ReplyDelete3 hours is a traffic jam, I travel there 10 times a year to play baseball, it is a fast trip
ReplyDeleteWhy not go to muskoka woods and live in cottages
ReplyDeletecamping? isn't that like Albion Hills?
ReplyDeleteI like janats idea to
ReplyDeleteI say we should not go to niagara falls because not many people will be able to pay that much money or leave home.so wonder land is where i think we should go for grad.in addition i think theres not much to do in niagara fall.
ReplyDeletewaterparks are tricky
ReplyDeleteWell maybe u hav different opinion about niagara falls i just dont wanna go there because i been there many time
ReplyDeleteAnd now it is boring for me.
Niagara is likely the best option for a overnight trip, but true everybody has likely been there.
ReplyDeletei wanna badly go to an amusement park.
ReplyDeleteoh if we go to wonderland we could use coupons that we get with our last report card
ReplyDeleteif we go to niagara falls what is going to included.
ReplyDeleteamusement park is doable
ReplyDeletelots of options for Niagara Falls
As sana said before, everyone has been to Niagara falls but i think it could be fun with all the other grade 8's and friends but i say amusements parks are more funner :)(like wonderland)
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Niagra Falls.
ReplyDelete@MrCheney How much would Niagra Falls cost?
i know i'm not in grade 8 but an option can be a boat cruise but maybe a better one than last year umm you guys can go to wonderland Niagara falls .... Ottawa umm ummm Disney world or even maybe going to a beach?
ReplyDeletewe can go to Niagara falls I think people will pay that much money and its really fun
ReplyDeleteamusement parks are fun but my brother said when he was in grade 8 they went to lots of places when they went to Niagara falls they did lots of fun stuff and maybe half of us have been to an amusement park
ReplyDeletedoes anyone know what page we have to do for math for homework
ReplyDeleteYes we did go to a lot of places in Niagara,
ReplyDeleteI can create a 2 day 1 night stay in Niagara falls that can be between 125-225. It depends on how many students go, how many things we do there, and what things we do there.
The last trip I planned, we went to a fancy magic and dinner show, tour behind the falls, imax movie, go karting, tour around the falls, marine land, and a night to go the the arcades, rides, etc.
COST will be the biggest factor...for away trip you want minimum of 40!
ReplyDeleteIf grade 8s are serious I can move forward fast to book and plan a substantial away trip.
simple things like day trips in Toronto are easy to plan and organize
I think Thamil will agree with me on this one, how bout we go to a TFC game? Is it even soccer season?
ReplyDeleteAdn how much did the previous one cost, the Marine Land and Magic Dinner?

ReplyDeleteI like the idea of niagra falls...
ReplyDeleteIf we can't do something big, what else can we do?
For example watch a game,
Or maybe paintballing.
But I would rather go to niagra
I wouldn't mind TFC :D
ReplyDeleteTFC is possible, we would have to see how many people want to do this for graduation.
ReplyDeleteThe Last Niagara trip cost 285 and it was for 3 days and 2 nights
ReplyDeleteTalk to 8A and 8B and get a sense of what they want! I will speak to tall the grade 8s soon, with a firm proposal and plan.
ReplyDeleteI think that we should go!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI have emailed a company to get a firm plan for a Niagara Trip...185 - 200 seems to be the price.
ReplyDelete@ mr cheney
ReplyDeletewhere have the grade 8s gone over the years?
Quebec City 650
ReplyDeleteNiagara Falls twice 300
Bluejays game 15
E zone arcade 35
Roundtree Park Free
how bout new york city we can fundraiser to go there, theres many different fundraiser we can do if anyone wants to go donnas idea
ReplyDelete@Mr.Cheney
ReplyDeleteI think we should go to Quebec for one full school week because it will take us one day to get there and then we would have one extra day to explore Quebec. What would be the cost fro it. Keep in mind that anyone can go to the Falls but, this is a one and a life time trip that we should remember forever. This is something special for everyone!
@Lisa/ Mr.Cheney
ReplyDeleteI think that we can start fundraising to go to New York. That would be fun as well!
new york city was an idea that all the girls like, would the guys enjoy themselves there?
ReplyDeleteout of the ones mr.cheney said, i think quebec city will be awesome.
ReplyDelete@Lisa,i dont think they would actually allow us to go to new york city but it is a possibility
ReplyDeleteSpecial yes, 1 week in Quebec would be 1000 minimum, and its not so special when many are excluded.
ReplyDeleteNew york is an amazing idea, but asw ell very very expensive, and we need to be realistic about making a plan. everyone wants to go somewhere super fancy, but the reality is very few would actually do it.
How much would you pay to go to NY??
ReplyDeleteme and lisa arent in bac, but we will help bac for fundraising and make sure bake sales, car washes, ect...
ReplyDeleteolga will help too.
ReplyDeleteBAC has a middle school focus, not just a grade 8 grad trip focus, we can go to BAC after we have a firm plan.
ReplyDeletehow much would it be to go to Niagara falls?
ReplyDeletefundraising will not make a significant reduction in price. The trip must be paid for in full without fundraising, and then fundraising can help afterwords.
ReplyDeletemeaning the trip can not be conditional on fundraising.
@Mr.Cheney Donna and me were thinking of fundraiser and how much we fundraiser we can decide on a trip that everyone would be able to pay for. Ideas like i went on the internet and theres centres that would take water bottles or cans etc they will take and give us money, candy grams, raffle, samosa, freezes, ice cream, etc.
ReplyDeleteBlue ranger who are you and read all the posts prior, that question has been answered
ReplyDeleteMr.Cheney how much would it cost to go to NY??
ReplyDelete*Lisa and I
ReplyDeleteWE CAN HAVE A YARD SALE!!
ReplyDeleteagain Lisa, to book a trip, it needs to be done now, fundraising money takes time. So fundraising can not be an essential piece of the plan.
ReplyDeleteThe factor will be how much your parents are willing and want to pay for a trip. That is the MOST important factor. Do not and you can not rely on fundraising to make the trip go.
Niagara Falls is the most reasonable idea and if we can get to go 3 days 2 nights fro Like $200 its ok because my Brother went and they went to a bunch of cool places and EVeryone liked it and TFC games good idea but not everyone would want to go and NYC If we cant afford to goto Quebec NYC isnt that much of a difference
ReplyDeletemr cheney but how much would it cost to go to new york city..??
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteCan we go by Plane?? because me and Donna were looking up the prices to go to NY and they were $99.00
ReplyDelete1500 minimum for NY,
ReplyDeleteNiagara price is for 2 days and 1 night
as an example, the reason we have not done away trips the last 2 years is because of student lack of interest. Our Last Niagara trip only had 28 students go and the school lost 1000s of dollars.
experience tells me that 300 is too much money, and because of that Quebec, Ottawa, New York etc are far far too expensive
@Mr. Cheney the rangers are blue=vinay red=thamil green=stanley black=anurag
ReplyDeleteIs there a chance for 3 days 2 nights for Niagara ?
ReplyDeletevery very clever Rangers, I love it!...I want to be Czar Ranger
ReplyDeleteYes, we can do 3 days 2 nights in Niagara but cost is now 300-350.
ReplyDeleteCOST is the critical factor
cough cough, the RANGERS better be good in Math class!!!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletehow many grade 8s are there??
ReplyDelete75 or so
ReplyDeleteIt also depends if they want to go and how much money they can put into it. I add up for 75 students and it costed about 24,375. I did: 3:25 x 75 students = 24,375
ReplyDelete@Black Ranger, its the cost per student that's important.
ReplyDeletebut as you see the huge total indicates how little fundraising will impact the total cost. At best we can fundraise $1000, that money is better spent helping a few students that can not afford or adding one more event to our trip like go karting or mini golf
@Mr Cheney: I agree to that.
ReplyDeleteIf you can, do you think you can put the package that you made on the blog so our parents can see what will be included so they can think if it is worth spending the money or not?

ReplyDeleteI found this site and it tells the top 3 grad trips which are Roller Coasters and Water Parks - Orlando, Florida which is not a bad idea because i think most people will like it.In my opinion its really fun but the only thing is people being scared of roller coasters but the fact is there aren't only roller coasters soo...
ReplyDeleteThe next one is Blue Skies and Beautiful Parks - The Rocky Mountains. I find this one a very good trip because its in the outdoors but the only thing you guys need to be cautious is about the weather and in my opinion you guys will be going in june so during the summer time so that shouldn't be a problem but to keep in mind in can rain.
and last one is Sunshine and Celebrities - LA to San Diego, California.I like it this one because what better way to celebrate grad than a trip to the sunny beaches and famous sites of Southern California.take a Cruise America RV trip down the California coastline from Los Angeles to San Diego, and save your cash for shopping at LA's trendy boutiques and enjoying the great dining in beautiful downtown San Diego.
Here is the site:http://www.cruiseamerica.com/destinations/graduation-road-trips.aspx
i have no better way to say this but there is Toronto (Package A) :2 days & 1 Night (4 to a room) and this package includes:
ReplyDeleteOne night deluxe lodging.
CN Tower
Casa Loma
Toronto Zoo
Ontario Place
Toronto Harbour Tour
American Rover Harbour Cruise
One free per 10 paid
And there is Package B :3 days & 2 Night (4 to a room) this package includes:
Two nights deluxe lodging.
Sky Dome Tour
CN Tower
Casa Loma
Ontario Science Center
Royal Ontario Museum
Toronto Zoo
Hockey Hall of Fame
One free per 10 paid
and if you want to figure out the prices you have to call this toll free number:877-397-5700
here is the site:http://www.adventurestudenttravel.com/Toronto_grad_trips.htm
also for the one above where is says the Toronto packages umm Airfare and transportation CAN be included at additional cost.So you guys can look at that because it will be somewhat cheap also because if 10 people pay 1 is free but i find that good but to be fair everyone should pay.
ReplyDelete@Neha, those are nice ideas but I dont think they would work due to cost.
ReplyDeleteHow Bout a Leafs game? We haven't done that yet have we?
ReplyDeleteI guess no Maple Leafs game, unless of course we make it to the Stanley Cup Finals (Not Likely)
ReplyDeleteImpossibe*
ReplyDelete@nicole : yeah but they can be an option or if you guys can find something like those trips... its just an option
ReplyDelete@the sauce boss: n my opinion if it were our grad trip i wouldnt really like to go to a game meaning like JUST a game because anyone can buy a ticket and go to a game.Do some more like what mr.cheney said like go to a game then go .....go karting maybe dinner stuff like that ,i know alot of people can go have dinner and go karting etc..etc.. but they wouldnt go right after like a leafs game then go karting then dinner etc...etc...etc.. in what i have seen they would go one day at a time ...Its a great idea but alot of people want to see WOW on their grad trip but for a low price.
The Toronto trips are neat, because indeed there are lots of things to do in our city.
ReplyDeleteBut the far away stuff in the United States is awesome, but far to expensive.
Leafs game, we could never get 75 tickets in one section, and they would cost almost as much as an away trip to Niagara falls
Mr.Cheney am hearing alot of things and what I had heard was the one night and two days is 180 to 250 and the 2 night 3 day is 285 flat down. But it's only for the hotel and we have to add more to all of that for the things we have to do in the day
ReplyDeleteThere is no flat down trip. The only overnight trip being proposed is the one I showed you on the computer.
ReplyDeleteI really like Neha's second trip idea 3 days 2 nights with the sky dome tour and everything
ReplyDelete
