YAY new post! i think david is an okay guy when you get to know him he was being nicer and he knew how to save him and sean from trouble and im thinking sean is going to start likeing david i think i would when i got to know him
David seems like a person not to make friends with because of what happened in the book but I think David is a better person than that because we've only seen him angry all the time. As we read more and more about him , I think David is going to be friends with Sean but he's making Sean his friend in a slow pace.
David seems to be aware of his life compared to other students. His life is a little easier due to his struggles. Well, at least others treat him differently because they think he has daily struggles. Sean has probably just realized David's affect on people and David is completely aware, so he knows that he will end up getting "special treatment" without it being completely obvious to Sean. My prediction for the next few chapters is that David and Sean will end up being best friends. (cover of book has to show main character, (Sean) and someone else in a wheelchair, (David)
I think David is tough in the outside and soft in the inside.He knows he gets special treatment because hes in a wheel chair.I think thats why David said "welcome to wheelchair world".I think David is using that as an advantage. At the end I think Sean and David are going to be best friends. I think that because on the title pg it shows a boy walking with someone in a wheel chair,Seanand someone in a wheel chair, David.
@Donna I agree with you because in the book I think he says some thing about "cut off jeans" and on the cover the person on the left is wearing "cut offs"
David has just moved into a new school he has to build his reputation in order to gain it he has to "show off" or fight. Maybe he's one of those pretend to be "toughies" that fight when someones weaker than them or walk away if they're stronger my ultimate thought is that David's perception, his view towards Sean will change he'll become all soft when they become friends if they don't they'll at least have respect for each other
@Abeenash Maybe he ment it like oh you get so much special treatment it makes you sick. Oh everybody keeps asking "are you okay?" "are you okay?" maybe he just wants to be another student he's probably been in wheelchair world for a long time and wants to be normal. If the book said "Welcome to Wheelchair world!!!" Yeah he enjoys the benifets of being handicap But the book said "welcome to wheelchair world" and he rolled away
@ Tabish & Malav The main character should be somewhere on the cover, it just makes sense that way. Since that character on the left with cut offs wasnt in a wheelchair, that would make me assume it's Sean. Yes, i also heard in the book that the narrator (Sean) was saying that he had cut offs, and how David had jordans.....
@donna yes but remember sean also had jordans but yes i also believe its sean and david i think david tells sean he likes basketball and both of them will play to show their passion for basketball
I think David is a tough guy that stands up for himself and if you mess with him then he will start a fight. I also think that David is a person that would stand up for his friends. He was/is a sporty guy and even though he is on a wheelchair he will never give up the sport. As well, since he is taking advantage that the teachers are so nice to him, he knows what to do when he gets in trouble.

i think that David is a tough kid but a friendly guy once you get to know him.Later on i think David and Sean will be close friends since they like the same sport.
I think David is a person that takes advantage of his disability,as said in the book "Welcome to wheel chair world".I think David doesn't get the point that he is hurt and well i guess all of us would take advantage in the real world but i say he shouldn't its not something you can play around with what ever happened to him can cause him a life dream ( i said life dream because i think as in the picture he is holding a basketball and wearing Jordan's so maybe its what he wants to be)he might not be able to walk again know one knows yet but when we get more into the story its might say. David has a easy going life.So for example as in the book, late was late for Sean but for David is was okay and if David was able to walk, late would also be late for him but because hes in a wheel chair its all fine.Another example would be the fight Mr.McCully thought he was a poor kid because he was in a wheel chair and Sean was the only one that got into trouble when he didn't do anything.So in other words David takes things for granted.
@The Sauce Boss : i agree David maybe trying to act like a tough person .I also think that because maybe in David’s old school people made fun of him and that’s why he came to this school that Sean’s in hoping that no one will make fun of him, but actually people are giving him special treatment more than making fun of him.
@Donna and @Malav: its kinda confusing i think we will know who is who when we get more into the book because i think we are only on chapter 3, so maybe like umm when we get to chapter 5 we will know who is who.
@Aqib yup! he does because of the incident where he didn't get in trouble because hes in a "WHEEL CHAIR" and the teacher didn't care if he was late because again he was in a "WHEEL CHAIR" . Which i think is not fair a human is a human. If the child has a disability as in slow learning somethings like that the i understand but like why should a kid get treated so nicely than other just cause he cant walk.Just cause he cant walk doesn't mean he cant punch or tell lies am i correct?

Which made me want to zoom in to his shoes when i zoomed in i saw the black shoes were Nike's or its just me that's what i see go on to Google images and type:Rebound by Eric Walters but a full size picture then zoom in i see black shoes with a white check mark on it .
I think david is a overall nice guy but when you are nice to him if you arent he would'ent be nice to you he would be aggressive and mean and seans only seen the aggressive side of him
I think David is like a sneaky 2 faced kid at times but u have to feel for him when his legs dont work thats his way of getting his joy he lost in the accident so you cant blame him and i agree with vinay but to make his explanation better you always have to stay on his good side because if you dont want him to get angry and snap at you
I think that David is the type of person that likes to be in a crowd and that he is one of the type of students that will take any chance he gets. He's too moody. He first got mad at Sean for grabbing his chair then he takes the blame for being late? You'll never know when the guy can rat you out or be nice too you. So no I wouldn't hang out with Sean.
