Is Sean just waiting for his hosting duties to be over?

ReplyDeleteI think Sean considers David an acquaintance because when David wheels by his house and sees him taking shots he asks him "Do you wanna go grab a drink" and he replied in the positive. So maybe they're just starting to build a relationship as friends, I really think David considers Sean a friend but not the other way around. Because when David asked Sean to come to the store he seemed hesitant but still wanted to come so that's some form of friendship I guess you could call it acquaintanceship. But they at least have something in between them. I think Sean thinks that David is a little weird, and daring because of thee way he wheeled across the street and the way he sat with those grade 7 girls, and a little creepy just because he wheeled by his house randomly, don't you consider that creepy you just got into a fight with this guy and now he wheels by your house?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all i think that sean feels different bout david in a good way because david and sean started to hang out alot togather.Sean might think that he is strange and werid because how he came up to the 3 grade 7 girls and talk to them.He might think he was all that because he is mostly always moody. They might become great friends because he would be able to go out with him more than scott because of his mom nand who she might feel sorry for because he might not have any friend his mom let him go when david came to his house.It seems that wants to change and start over fresh with david and not sean like wat mr.Cheney said in class because when scott came over and asked sean if he wanted to go play pool and ditch class sean didnt want to go.When david and scott talk for the first time it seemed they really didnt like each other by the way that the talked to each other.I think sean wants to still hang out with david and not just waiting for his hosting duties to be over because he doesnt want to hang out with scott and get in trouble like last year because if sean just wants to finish his duties with david he will go back to scott and theres trouble there.So i think before seans duties are over with david they would be come friends and still hang out after that.
ReplyDeleteWell, in the begining Sean thought that David was a loser. And i also thought that David was two-faced because he got mad at Sean for touching his wheel chair. But when they entered the classroom and the teacher wheeled him over to his he didnt get mad and throw a big tantrum. Instad he was being really polite to the teacher.
ReplyDeleteLater on in the book i think that Sean and David will begin to become freinds but it will take awhile, i think they can be great freinds.

ReplyDeletei think that sean feels confusedabout david because they got into a fight like a few days ago and suddenly david mood changed into being friendly then befor. for example when david came by seans house, sean thouth why is this gut at my house and how did he get here. on the other side david taught/gave tips on playing basketball and david also offeredcd to join him on his way to the corner store. so prety much david is getting company from sean and sean isnt getting in trouble any moreby hanging out with david. when sean used to hang out with scott he got in trouble alot!!! this shows that sean and david are starting to have a classmate sort of friendship. i dont think that sean is realissing this friendship.
ReplyDeletealso i think that sean realised that when he was hanging out with scott he made himself look like a bad guy in front of every one, even mccully thought that sean is a bad guy. i htink this because in the book sean thought to himself as he saw scott hidding from the vp and sneaking away without getting caught that he actually looked like that, the bad guy? sean must have realised tha beacuase HE never gut in trouble or doing the bad things of school property, it was scott. so i guess its better if sean stays with david and maybe he thinks that david is a good guy to give him second chance and not be enemies 24/7.

ReplyDeleteI think Sean can think plenty of things about David at different times. Sean probably thought David was strange the way he started out showing hatred by punching him and then started being friendly to him. I don't think Sean thinks David was cool at the beginning, maybe now that they are starting to become friends he might think he's cool, but David hasn't done anything specific to being considered cool. Sean probably thought David was annoying when David was insulting him and Sean had to think about what he said to realize it was an insult. I don't think that Sean ever thought that David was a loser.
i also think that david considers sean a friend, but sean doesnt want to be davids. i say this because, in the story whenever david asked sean something, he thought about it and was very hesitant. also, when david wanted to take a few shots on the drive way, sean says in his mind that he is a loser, and why come to my house.

i think sean feels whatever about david because i remember that he said to scott that after he his done being david host he will not even talk to him.in adition the way he acted when david was playing basketball on seans driveway.sean was acting like i don't care and even when they were playing against each other sean was saying in is mind that i'll go easy on him since the poor guy is on a wheelchair etc.but i think by the end of this book sean is going to realize that since he has been hanging out with david he did not have to go to the office even once.in addition i think scott is just going to stop asking sean if he wanna hang out with him because i find that almost everytime sean is with scott,scott is doing something that might get them in trouble.

ReplyDeleteI think sean is confused about everything going on around him because first of all the same guy who got into a fight with sean is now being all nice and saying things to get himself and also sean out of trouble?! Sean must be wondering about what's going on in david's mind...... is he just doing all this ( being all nice and innocent) because he wants to try and make sean think that david did so much for him and that i owe david?
ReplyDeleteI don't think they are friends yet but im pretty sure that Sean thinks that somethings going on, Why is david being nice to me all of a sudden is he tring to tell me something? Later in the book after like 5 or 6 chapters i think they will finally turn from " The guy i had a fight with" to "The guy who's now my friend".
I don't think that Sean wants his hosting duties to be over because he is getting advantage out of his punishment because no one would care if he comes late to his class or he goes out of school property ( only if he's with david ) Due to his punishment he is finally getting out of trouble, he is finally staying out of trouble and not draggin anyone of his friends in his problems.
I think that staying with david and being his host completly changed Sean because at lunch time when Scott asked Sean if he wanted to play pool ( and that meant ditching class ) Sean said no he can't because he was too busy which made Sean think that he would much rather spend time with david/without Scott at his side and that he's too much into his hosting duties. I think Scott just wants to hang out with Sean again, like they used to before he got into trouble and he also wants Sean to ditch his hosting duties and hang out with his "friends".
I think Sean thinks David is a little "Too much", A bit cocky, and This kid has 2 sides. I say this because the time when Sean went to go buy David lunch and he said to the grade 7 girls "Do you believe in love at first sight or shall I roll back again?" At that point Sean's thinking "What the heck is this guy saying?!? they're grade sevens. The time that Sean was shooting hoops in his lane and David popped out of no where and started to sink hoops, and when he challenged Sean to a game of 1 on 1. I say 2 sides because on the first day of school David and Sean started a scrap (well David did...) and after that "fight" Mr.McCully came over to yell at both of them and Sean was in a lot of trouble but on the other hand David was in no trouble because he was in a wheel chair and this brings us to symbolism. When David and Sean were late for class David used his "sweet" voice on the teacher so that she would not punish them for being late.

but david is also pulling sean closer by becoming "sort of friends"/ acquaintances.
sooner or later, sean will start hanging out with david a bit more because he starts to like david being a friend.
I think Sean gets along very well with David. But at times I think Sean doesn’t actually think they are friends. Because of the way they started (hanging out with each other). I feel that Sean is started liking David but kind of feels weird around him . I guess it’s because David saves himself and Sean from getting into trouble. Which no regular person can do. David is a human being just like all of us but he has a disability and as everyone already knows he gets this special treatment at the school .I think David will be getting really excited about going to a new school and on the first day he has his own host and then slowly he is becoming friends with someone (Sean). I think Sean thinks that David is a bit weird because of him asking the grade 7 girls do you believe in love at first sight. I thought it was a bit weird so I think it might be weird for Sean too .In other words Sean thinks David is odd and doesn’t know what David will do next. David is an unknown person, he might or might not save your back or even just let you fall.

I think Sean now feels diffrently about David and can tolerate him a little more , compared to the first day of his hosting when he was hesitant to do it. Now they both seem like they loosened up and are more comfortable with each other. Sean must think that David has mood swings because one moment he's happy and the next he's mad.
